About Monica
Monica is a highly accomplished commercial lawyer with extensive international experience in privacy, security, human rights, ESG, and compliance. Over the past two decades, she has been at the forefront of advising and influencing the development of cutting-edge technologies, including ad tech, digital media, AI, ML, LIDAR, drones, and autonomous vehicles. Monica's deep expertise extends to running compliance and governance programs across multiple disciplines and industries. She is also contributing to drafting the EU AI Office’s Code of Practice for the AI Act, as an independent expert.
Outside of her professional achievements, Monica is a multifaceted individual. She is an accomplished baker, a dedicated martial artist, and an avid world traveller. As a mother of two children who have clearly inherited her exceptional negotiation skills, she balances her career and personal life with remarkable finesse. Adding to her vibrant household is her Tamaskan dog, who, despite being very stubborn, is utterly adorable.

Erica is a tech-savvy solicitor with over a decade of experience bridging the gap between law and technology. Specializing in data protection, AI governance, data ethics, and lean compliance, she’s known for delivering legal solutions at pace—whether partnering with fast-growing tech companies or major law firms. Drawing on her time both in-house and at a top City firm, Erica has built a track record of designing, implementing, and operationalizing frameworks that not only protect businesses but empower them to innovate.

A Swedish national, Erica has lived in the US, France, the UAE and the UK. Her diverse background is matched by an equally diverse set of interests spanning everything from philosophy to motorcycles. In her free time she enjoys reading books and going on little adventures with her young son, and her husband.
