2025 Round Up

Introduction

2025 has been a busy year here at Knowledgebridge AI. We have been working to build our business, brand, and relationships at lightning speed so that we can create something of value that helps you and your business in this AI enabled world.

We have been at the forefront of critical discussions on AI adoption, governance, and human rights - from industry panels to training rollouts, our work continues to empower organisations, regulators, and communities to navigate the evolving AI landscape responsibly.

Here is a quick round-up of everything we have been up to!

January 2025

The IAPP published our AI Literacy series, during January and February, designed to help organisations understand how to think about AI literacy, what it means and how it fits into their organisational AI governance.

The company was formalised - specifically registered on International Women’s Day (and coincidentally is also the birthday of one of the co-founders!).

April 2025

We worked on building strategic partnerships and testing out tools to support Knowledgebridge’s AI literacy training courses.

We Joined TechUK!

As proud members of TechUK, the UK’s leading technology trade association, we connected with a dynamic network of industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators committed to shaping responsible digital transformation.

Through TechUK, we contributed to national conversations on AI governance, supported SMEs in building ethical tech practices, and stayed ahead of emerging trends in AI, privacy, cybersecurity, and data regulation.

uQualio Partnership

We built relationships with the wonderful team at uQualio – special shout out to Christian Bjerre Nielsen and Hatla Faerch Johnsen for putting up with our incessant questions and their support in helping us understand learning platforms more proficiently!

May 2025

Passed the Oxford AI Ethics, Regulation & Compliance Program

One of our co-founders completed the Oxford AI Ethics, Regulation and Compliance Program as part of our continued commitment to on-going education to continually evolve our knowledge in this ever-changing space.

June – July 2025

Built our core offering!!

We spent this time designing, building, scripting, and refining a beta version of our flagship training program.

This was a particular achievement as during this time one co-founder was renovating their summer house in Sweden and the other had surgery requiring a few weeks downtime to recover.

But we pushed through… 😊

August 2025

Identified Participants for our Beta Trial

We reached out to friends, acquaintances, prospects, business partners and everything in between to find parties interested in participating in the beta trial of our course, and had great interest from all corners of the world.

Featured Speaker on UseContinual Webinar: Raising the Bar on AI Literacy & Compliance

Our co-founder was a featured speaker on a webinar hosted by UseContinual, hosted by their CEO, Oliver Crofton. The discussion dug into a number of issues, including AI literacy and what this means in practice, practical risks like “shadow AI”, what questions we should be asking of our AI vendors, and how to distinguish ethical principles from legal and compliance obligations.

A summary is available here: Webinar Recap: Raising the Bar on AI Literacy & Compliance with Monica Mahay

For UseContinual members, the recording of the session is available in full.

AI Ethicist Certification

One of our co-founders qualified as an AI Ethicist!

September 2025

Supported Northeastern University’s Data Science Bootcamp

… to participate on the judging panel the university’s Data Science Bootcamp's capstone presentations! This involved a panel of industry experts evaluating how student teams plan to leverage AI, statistics, and data science, to enhance customer experience, improve services, increase revenue, and secure future business growth.

There were some incredibly creative and well-presented ideas on the day. Clearly a lot of work and preparation had gone into the pitches – delighted to have been able to support this initiative and the next generation of talent in the tech space!

October 2025

Knowledgebridge at techUK – Driving AI Adoption in Telecoms

Our co-founder Monica Mahay was a featured speaker, alongside James Winter, Dimitra Simeonidou, and Afonso Nunes, on techUK’s webinar on Driving AI Adoption in Telecoms, hosted by Tales Gaspar and Usman Khan (TechUK), where we highlighted:

  • The need for structured governance frameworks to balance innovation with compliance.

  • Practical pathways for telecoms to embed AI responsibly, including maturity assessments, clean data strategies, and interoperability standards.

  • How sector‑specific AI literacy can accelerate adoption while mitigating risks.

  • Details of the speakers and the event can be found here.

  • The full round‑up and recording are available here.

Concluded the Beta Trial

The beta trial closed in October and the response from the reviewers was overwhelmingly positive. We received some wonderful comments and some helpful, constructive support in improving the offering for different audiences. The various versions of the final courses go into development and our longer term roadmap.

November 2025

Taylor Root: Privacy & AI Breakfast – From Compliance to Leadership: Data Protection in the AI Governance Age

Our co-founder, Monica Mahay, led this roundtable discussion alongside João Barreiro, Chief Privacy and Data Ethics Officer (BeOne Medicines), hosted by Thomas Woods and Chloe Bailey Edwards from Taylor Root.

At Taylor Root’s Privacy and AI breakfast, Knowledgebridge emphasised the shift from compliance to leadership in AI governance. Key takeaways included:

  • Embedding privacy and accountability into AI strategies across industries.

  • Practical steps for legal and compliance teams to adapt to evolving regulation.

  • The importance of cross‑functional collaboration to build resilient governance programs.

  • More details here.

UN Business & Human Rights Forum 2025

Knowledgebridge attended the UN Business & Human Rights Forum 2025, including a pivotal session on AI and human rights in times of crisis. The event underscored:

  • Risks of biased algorithms and opaque decision‑making, especially for at‑risk communities.

  • The need for early, ongoing, and context‑specific human rights due diligence.

  • Public procurement as a frontline safeguard, alongside investor and civil society accountability.

  • Intersectional approaches to address gendered impacts of AI, including online violence and surveillance.

  • This aligns with our mission to embed rights‑based governance into AI adoption across sectors.

Parliamentary Panel – Bridging the Skills & Innovation Gap

Bridging the Skills & Innovation Gap

Knowledgebridge was invited to the UK Parliamentary Panel at the House of Commons on Bridging the Skills and Innovation Gap, with Chair of Tech Committee, Chi Onwurah (MP) and in partnership with Accenture and Lumi Networks.

Key themes included:

  • Organisations have continued to report skills gaps in the cyber, data, security and AI space;

  • Re-iterated the UK Government goal to build a strong pipeline of domestic talent, and train 7.5 million workers

  • The need for more women and under-represented minority participation and how learnings from the past can be brought into the AI space as well.

  • The goal of the UK to be recognised as a driver of growth and innovation.

  • The need for cross-sectoral partnership to make this effective, between government, the education sector/academia, and industry.

  • Government commitment to act as a “first customer” for UK AI start‑ups, backed by £100 million.

This reinforces our (Knowledgebridge’s) focus on skills development and workforce readiness as essential components of responsible AI adoption.

December 2025

Follow up Discussion to the Parliamentary Panel

Given the success of the discussion at the Parliamentary Panel, a follow up session was organised with the attendees in December, led by Prashant Raizada (CEO of Lui Networks).

The discussion focused on a few key areas, namely:

  • Public-private partnerships are vital for AI upskilling, but sustainable government funding and better communication are needed.

  • Organizations face challenges with risk management, secure integration, and overcoming cultural resistance to AI adoption.

  • Traditional education is inadequate; experiential and on-the-job training prove more effective.

  • Recruitment processes are being reshaped by AI, requiring both technical and interpersonal skills.

  • Collaboration across organizations is essential to scale initiatives, ensure equity, and build AI fluency
